I really like it!
Im excited about this discussion. will surely share and learn so much!!
look forward to talk to people
I didn't think it was possible, but we actually succeeded in taking a journey around the world in just two hours.
From China to Ukraine, from Chile to Norway, from Greece to Denmark, just to mention a few.
The workshop was designed as a cafe-debate turning around 7 tables. Every ten minutes we had to change table, subject and discussion partners.
Seven different (and yet related) questions were discussed and knowledge, experiences (good and bad) were shared across countryborders and cultures:
1. how has your library used social media to engage its community?
2. what has your library learned from unsuccesful community engagement attempts?
3. how can libraries connect people to each other and the world?
4. how has your library succesfully engaged as community?
5. how can libraries partner with other community orgs to futher engage communities?
6. what are ways libraries can engage communities in unexpected ways?
7. what does it mean to engage a library community?
The discussions were varied, broad and impossible to summarize in this forum, but hopefully the great people from Global Libraries will share their sum-up from all the discussions that took place:-)
What a great way to get around the world in a very short time.
